The music is taken mainly from the 60's & 70's and covers most of the rock genres, including Progressive Rock, Folk-Rock, Psychedelic Rock, Jazz-Rock, Garage, Blues, Krautrock and of course good old Classic Rock. We do play artists back catalogue songs that were released in the 80's, 90's and today, but the majority of our playlist comes from the 60's & 70's.
Of course, you'll hear tracks from all the classic artists like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Yes, Deep Purple, Genesis, Black Sabbath, The Rolling Stones, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, The Beatles, The Eagles, The Kinks, Fleetwood Mac, Neil Young, Elton John, Joe Walsh, ELO, The Pretenders, Steely Dan, Eric Clapton, James Taylor, The Who, Billy Joel, David Bowie, and Bob Dylan. To keep you all on your toes, you'll hear many obscure artists not heard on the radio these days. Our complete playlist is much too large to add in here, but just to give you some idea of the rare bands on The Rock Doctor, artists such as Saturnalia, Byzantium, Kestrel, Rumplestiltskin, Home, Strife, Lady Lake, Circus, Neu, Ekseption, Hydra, Banchee, Pacific Eardrum, Cochise, Espers, Jade Warrior, Agnes Strange, Brainticket, Nutz, Point Blank, Akasha and Egg are just a few of the regular names in the playlist.
